Summer Supervisor Responsibilites

Alpha Supervisors are responsible for students during on-campus activities. Alpha Supervisors organize and supervise the sporting and indoor activities. Alpha Supervisors are responsible for the school’s material during each activity.

Alpha Supervisors are responsible for leading all off-campus excursions. While a professional guide is provided on most excursions, Alpha Supervisors will be required to give the tour on certain destinations. They will be provided with detailed information on each tour at the start of the position and they are required to make themselves familiar with this information.

Alpha Supervisors are responsible for payment on excursions.

Alpha Supervisors act as support for foreign group leaders on all off-campus excursions (including Sunday afternoon trips to City Centre), helping to split up the group into more manageable tours.

One appointed Alpha Supervisor is responsible for individual students who are not part of a group.

Alpha Supervisors provide support to their Centre Manager in the preparation of all off-campus activities.

Alpha Supervisors are responsible for motivating students in the evening and for organizing activities that the students are interested in participating in.

Alpha Supervisors supervise students during meal times and break times, in the afternoon and the evening.

Alpha Supervisors should be proactive with students’ queries and provide help whenever possible, or contact the appropriate person.

Alpha Supervisors are responsible for the Alpha College material room.

Alpha Supervisors must report a student to the centre manager whenever the student gives cause for concern or behaves inappropriately.
Alpha Supervisors patrol the dormitories after lights out with the foreign group leaders and make sure that students get to sleep (Residential Centre only).

    Previous experience working with children and teenagers a bonus but not essential. Must have completed Leaving Cert or equivalent

    Any sports, musical and/or artistic talents welcome. Knowledge of Dublin and greater Dublin area is a plus
